And we didnt get serious with Adams until after Hootie committed to Bama.

We got serious with Jamal before we saw the writing on the wall with Hootie, which was before he committed.

Read the Hootie thread on 247. There are a couple of posters there who know the story. But everyone who is laughing at the idea that we arent exactly welcoming him w open arms right now are misinformed or just naive.

They had one New Orleans guy there : fournette

My working hypothesis is that during the Bama OV he and LF were in an impromptu Big Cat drill.

Hootie said there's no way in hell I'm tackling THAT for 4 years....#ride4buganation

I know CJ Hampton and Hootie are friends. The only thing I can think of is that CJ may want to go to LSU too and wants Hootie to come with him. I didn't think they were a package deal.

That would make me think Ole Miss

Ok let me rephrase that... we got serious with Jamal once we realized Hootie was going to Bama... not much different than what I said but alright. And nobody knew where Hootie was going to choose. He choose Bama that day, but just decommitted.

But lsugradman... your scenarios arent matching up.

Your saying if both want to come here we have to chose between 1 or the other, which isnt true. Then say but both arent an option... Makes 0 sense. If 1 doesnt want to come to LSU, why would we chose him over the other

Im saying Adams should be and is priority #1 at safety. I dont think its a given that we can get both in this class.

I HIGHLY doubt Hootie goes to Ole Miss. He's been recruited by us and Bama for so long that it would be hard for Mississippi to catch up. The only way would be if he isn't a take for us anymore.

We don't have a sizable advantage for either to get picky

I'm sure we are being very cautious. If we have made up as much ground as many are saying with Adams, you do not just let Hootie in without thinking things through. They won't take a chance on missing both, but the goal will undoubtedly be to get both guys on campus.
