this is what dallas responded with:
Would appreciate you posting in my stead:
There are no players “conveniently left off” the line drawn in the article was Rivals250-ranked players. The players that are being listed in that thread were not ranked in the Rivals250. There was no cherry picking for the sake of the story it was everyone included. If I wanted to write about all of the players that LSU got out of Texas those players would have been listed it also would have been twice as long.

It looks like a butthurt attempt to maybe sway other Texas player to not come to DBU. Guys pathetic

Dear DJ, you are wrong:
Ron Brooks, 2007 recruit IS IN THE RIVALS 250
Ron Brooks- Rivals

Sure, let's stop recruiting the third hottest recruiting hotbed in the US behind maybe Florida and California and a state that borders us. That sounds like a smart and reasonable plan. And pretty convenient that he sets a line that excludes a majority of the Texas kids who have had success. Even then, he gets that wrong with Ron Brooks

He conveniently goes back 9 years (2004) instead of a decade (2003). If he goes back to 2003, he includes Matt Flynn who led LSU to a National Championship. DJ has an agenda… LSU, please stop recruiting in Texas.

Considering Paris is in the '14 class, he went back 11 classes, not 9.

But it is now FEB 2013, Paris is gave a verbal, not signed. Would be accurate if he wrote this a year from now... Who's side are you on anyway

The article makes a good point. LSU should rather sign a player from Wyoming because they have no bad history with players from Wyoming.

2004 to 2013 is 10 years. Count on your fingers if you need. I've got time.

Mostly, on the side of facts. And you can take apart his argument well enough by using facts that you don't need to make things up.

I can't recall reading many, if any, articles on Rivals with a negative slant, like this article. Regardless of which team it is written about, when you represent a service that makes tons of money off of high school kids, you should show better judgment and focus on positives. These articles add nothing and should not be written about any team's recruits that did not "live up to expectations." Sure you can say it is about my team so I'm bitter, but I would be put off by this article if it was written about Bama or Florida as well. But the timing of this article is what is particularly bothersome. Let the kid enjoy his day without writing an article like this to shite on everything.
Summary: What's the point? Makes DJ look like an arse bag. Lost some respect for Rivals today. Likely discontinuing the membership.

Its all about pleasing the audience, it is well documented that louisiana lacks rivals subscriptions per capita. Texas, however, is one of the highest subscribers per capita on rivals. It is a business and they make money this way.

Is that why LSU just had a 1st-rounder from Texas in last year's class?
