Mays is instant offense, but he gets in foul trouble quick, they’ll work it out.

Yea Wade has motivation to big up his guy no shite

And it’s not stupid when we have two years sample of both and Jevonte was a high rated player coming in, the big difference is one is a real PG and the other is more of a 2 guard. The assist/TO is nice and all but let’s not ignore Smart was an off the ball PG

Yea I know it the offseason and it’s easy to look up stats to make someone look good, but no one is goin to say there wasn’t a drop off between Smart and Water last year.

In terms of individual production yes, there was a drop-off. But not that much (offensively). Smart averaged 3 less ppg and 1 less apg than Waters did in 18-19. However, Smart had 1 more rpg and 1 LESS turnover per game than Waters.

But more importantly, LSU as a team was a MORE efficient offense last year with Smart as the primary PG than they were the year before. So from a team standpoint there was no dropoff whatsoever.

Smart got off to a bad start in the first few games with turnovers and the casual fan held him to those early miscues for the entire season when essentially EVERY metric showed he improved greatly as the season went on. Yes, everyone (including me) though there would be a big dropoff with Tremont gone. But the reality is...there wasn't

Just because he isn’t Tremont doesn’t mean he’s not good. Really bad take on your part. Smart is a very good above average PG

Y’all in here arguing about Mays and Days. Hell I’m confused now! One won’t be back with us for sure. Let’s just keep this about Cisse.

Diallo is one comp I've seen on Cisse.

Not bad IMO.

That’s not apples to apples. Smart is a fine player and I’m glad he’s on our team but he’s not better than Waters and that’s ok. The defense is the big difference imo. Smart so many times let his man blow right by him and wasn’t that great on help defense. Meanwhile Tremont, while he wasn’t perfect was a very good on ball defender and pretty sure he was near the top of the sec in steals. He also blocked a lot of shots for someone his size.

Smart has 9 blocks through his first two seasons. Waters had 7. I wouldn’t really use that as an advantage for Waters.

57% CB’s to LSU for Cisse!

Came out and publicly said he was reclassifying to 2020 class which is even more good news!

Would his commit give us the #1 class for the 2020 cycle? If we are already in top 5 gotta think it could legitimately give us a chance.

Touché I guess it was more of a memorable thing with Waters. I can still replay that blocked shot against Houston to win the game like it was yesterday. I can’t think of any blocks from Smart. Regardless though Waters was the better defender.

We'd jump above Tennessee for the 4th ranked class
