So he throws out an arbitrary number that probably is several spots off, in order to bash O ...lmao...unreal.

As I said, we get Marshall, Josepth, Surtain, and possibly Chase, there can be no denying this class was a complete success.

And Hanagriff would more or less agree with you, considering that, in that event, LSU would likely finish with a top-10 class.

However, if it finishes at 11 would that be a failure in your eyes?

Not a "failure," but a little bit of a disappointment since that would likely mean we missed on players like Marshall or Surtain. To me, it would be comparable to how I felt last year when we missed out getting Marvin Wilson and Phidarian Mathis. That class was anything but a failure, but not as great as it could have been.

We pretty much knew or had a good idea of who was signing and all the players have been mentioned for months so wtf (What was he expecting - not that it matters)?

He didn't predict LSU would finish that way (14th). He simply said it would be a disappointment if they did. You do realize that if LSU finishes with the 14th ranked class, that likely means we lost out on signing players like Marshall, Chase, Joiner, Cook, Goodrich, Surtain, etc. LSU leads for at least four of those guys right now, so yes, it WOULD be a disappointment if this class finishes outside the top-10.

Why throw it out there? It would be a disappointment to me if my heart quit beating within next 5 min...but not likely to happen

A finish at 10th will be lower than many of Les' classes in recent years. O's strength was supposed to be recruiting... Yes, a down year for La. may mitigate the harsh conclusions, but it certainly does not burnish Da Coach O's claim as a top recruiter.

I suppose his job is to talk sports and discuss the various scenarios. He wasn't being hyperbolic. Look, I'm on board with Coach O and am a supporter of his, but geez, some of you "O" fans need to lighten up. You perceive any comment that is not totally upbeat and sunshine-pumping about the program as "bashing Coach O." Take a chill pill, buddy.
