My long-term plan for the QB position is that each game Miles and his coaches will pick the best guy.

Remember, three years ago some Georgia wing nut had Mettenberger in his long-term plan.

Feeling good about this guy. If it was ND he would not have come back to LSU so quick on an official. The good academic news also bodes well for us. Just what LM wants for xmas.

Sucks if true. I'm still going to wait and see. I guess there are more important things to him than playing for a winner.

Didn't he cancel his visit to Vanderbilt? If so sounds like it couldn't be Vanderbilt but instead ND.

Not buying that story just yet. Sounds like it was written off of old information???

Wouldn't be surprised. Seems academics are pretty important to him, I asked this awhile ago because I remember him saying how important education is. Could be like a Luck ordeal. For such a awesome season, we've been getting bad news past couple days...

yea these 24/7 guys flip flop a lot so I wouldnt worry to much...I think Miles should give a in home visit to him soon...I know Krag visited him earlier but Miles presence would definetly help

Very cool. I've not seen the 24/7 article about ND/Vandy, but everything I've seen suggests LSU is still a serious consideration. If The Hat is making a trip I doubt he's just looking to burn some Jet A for fun...

I think that is the real question. Miles will play him if he is "the best". Perhaps the struggle is whether he can convince himself he can earn the slot.. And except for the blonde hair, this USC thing, I don't really get.

He can start at USC since Barkley will be gone. He will sit the bench at LSU for 2 years behind Mett

I wonder what he plans on majoring in.

Like I said earlier in the thread, once he visited I think he realized that in certain departments at LSU you can get a VERY good education. It just depends on if those departments fit his interests.

That assumes he can't compete against Mett. It's not like USC doesn't have a bench ( 6 QBs by my count) and both Drew and Dusty (his brothers) Redshirt their freshman year. I think Mr. Football is a true competitor and not afraid to step up to the big leagues!

Twitter abuzz with unconfirmed (probably false) reports that Gunner Kiel is in Lawrence, KS attending Jayhawks BBall game where Charlie Weis is being introduced new FBall coach. Weis is reported to be good friends with Blair Kiel, Gunner's uncle and former ND QB.

Then why wouldn't he show interest in Florida before?

I guess Kansas is closer

SWiltfong247 Steve Wiltfong
Despite what's being reported elsewhere five-star QB Gunner Kiel is not visiting Kansas right now according to his family.
