I think it is more wise to say that it looks like Kiel has the better upside as a SR in HS than Rivers did, however rivers is not a sr in hs anymore.

Did I ever claim that Kiel could come out his first day of practice and be ahead of Rivers? No...
What I am saying is that I believe, from scouting reports and coaches opinions on the players that once Kiel has a Spring and a Summer under his belt that he will be the number 2 guy behind Mett. And Rivers is still the number 4 QB. I don't know where you're getting that he's passed Mett right now....
And you haven't seen anything from Rivers either. I haven't heard a word about his progress. I heard information about every QB on the roster this summer, except Rivers, that includes Randall. And what I'm saying is that I have such a strong opinion of Kiel that I think he can make up that ground on Rivers pretty easily.

Maybe. Some guys come in that are just physically/mentally mature faster than other players. Some guys take 3-4 years before they blossom physically/mentally. Rivers could be one of those type of guys. I don't think it is crazy to assume Kiel can come in and immediately be ahead of Rivers on the depth chart based on his potential. He definitely has the size already. So physically he is there.

If you watch Rivers' film you'll see receivers having to wait on him, balls thrown behind them, one-handed catches, very little yac at times, etc, etc. In Gunner's film, the ball is almost always on time and accurate on a rope, even in the tightest windows. Rivers knows the position, but Kiel is just more talented. I suggest that anyone who doesn't agree with this take some time to check out Gunner's actual 2011 game film on youtube instead of just the highlights. You can get a much better vantage point that way. He wears number 11 and plays for Columbus East.

My point exactly. I think Rivers has the potential to be a good QB, but Kiel is special. I truly believe that.

today at 11AM is his announcement, and all signs point to LSU, remember though its just a verbal and hes been down that road before with IU, so until he has his but in a classroom when spring semester starts who knows what could happen
