They will be sophomores in their 3rd year in the system before Kiel even plays his first mop up duty. Let's not go crazy until he's #2 on the depth chart, which is 2 or 3 full seasons away.

They are redshirted freshmen right now, and he would be coming in for Spring practice this year... He's not that far behind

Why not get excited? Big time QB prospect interested in LSU. The team that has had a shitty offense.

He is in high school. Robert Lane was Mr Everything QB in high school and he wound up as a shitty TE at a shitty school. I'll get excited when he learns the college game. Hope he comes because I don't love what we have behind Mettenberger.

Yea, fully aware of how it works. My point is that guy was trying to say that Rivers and Randall would have several years of experience over Kiel, when all they have is one season and no gametime... not alot to overcome for someone with Kiel's talent...

I didn't say he'd be that far behind - 2013, he will be a freshman in his second year in the system - my point is - until he's ahead of both Randall or Rivers on the depth chart (and it's possible he never will be ahead of both) why would anyone consider transferring because of somebody behind them on the depth chart?
