The 6-4, 215-pound Kiel threw for 2,517 yards and 28 touchdowns with just 4 interceptions in leading Columbus East to a 12-2 record and the Class 4A semistates, where the Olympians lost to eventual state champion Cathedral. He also has a 3.53 grade point average, assisted in flood relief efforts in the Columbus area and volunteered as a youth football coach.

Seems like a smart kid with a good head on his shoulders. Definitely would be nice to see him in a LSU uniform representing the university well.

Next person to speak of the 6'0 safety from Dutchtown by name before he commits should be banned. His name ruins a thread faster than a JJ vs JL debate.

We are well past the benefits of the biggest QB coup ever pulled at LSU and on to more important things...Blood Color and the de facto "color of the law vs spirit of the law" debate. What do you think this is...the recruiting board? Pfft. This is 28 pages of OT gold. Post your sources or be gone with your informing article.

I still think he hasn't made up his mind. When it's this tight, it has to favor the closer or home team. It just has to, doesn't it?

Starting to think its 50/50 again

He probably didn't feel like boring the listeners with the detail since provided, but he stated dead period means coaches can't call. Apparently they are allowed one call a week, but no more.

Why does that have to be? I don't understand the logic.

I believe that when it's this tight, it has to favor the away team. It just has to, doesn't it?

You can make any way you look at it favor both sides.

If it has taken him this long to choose, then it seems like he is going to LSU or else he would have committed to the closer school sooner.

Or maybe it is taking him this long because he wanted to go to LSU but is having second thoughts about traveling that far from home.

I understand Dreaux's logic but that is just the one side of that argument.

I'm also feeling 50-50 again. The students chanting LSU got me worried. It makes me think that he told everyone he was going to LSU, and then started realizing what being that far from home would mean.

I really like this kid and will pull for him wherever he goes. He's an Andrew Luck type person IMO. He has the game down mentally and physically. I just hope he wants to be a part of what Miles is building here.

Prepare for some Irish fans to come possibly trolling this thread. I was passing through one of their message boards to see what they were saying about Gunner and I so happen to spot them talking about TD and the rumors flying around.

IE is invading tigerdroppings!!!!!

IE = Irish Envy (The name of a Notre Dame Sports message board)

same. I went with Epitome2 since Epitome was taken.

Bet the mods on Tigerdroppings have already heard. Can we "super secret" this thread with super secret double probation?

For the love of God don't let them know who it is or we'll have those folks coming here...and that'll be soooo annoying...Think Urban Meyer/Dayne Crist x10

The more rational posters of the bunch from the thread.

LOL ... You guys crack me up.

The guys over at tigerdroppings are pretty good guys. I wouldn't egg them on to much. Right now they are going through the same emotions we've already gone through. Wanting to believe all these rumors to be true, trying to read every minor comment/action as a sign one way or another.

agree with this. As I read through their threads it was obvious that they are not nearly as bad as some of the others I have visited. Actually a ton of similarities with this thread and the same type of personalities.

dont troll their board guys, they are mostly good guys over there; ive been a member on TD for years. if you register, represent ND well...

I don't think they'll troll, but it's pretty funny nonetheless.
