Maybe his classmates want him to play for a real football powerhouse and not some has been or never was program like Notre Dame or Vandy.

An LSU poster that has 7 total post over 5 years claims it's LSU.. ("I rarely post, but when I do it's when I have something to offer I feel is signficant")
he did add that 18 year olds can change their minds in a span of 24-48 hours...

I know LSU, Vandy, and ND fans are caught up in the drama of this, but does anyone get the sense that Kiel is about the lowest profile #1 QB to come out in a long time? Nationally, he doesn't seem to get the publicity that other recent #1 QBs have gotten. Just an observation.

he hyphotheticals and emotions and spinning in ones favor in this thread are all amusing; ND fans are doing the same thing (and i assume vandy fans are as well).
i honestly just dont think he has decided and is torn between two high profile choices.

Rocket, what are ND fans hearing in regards to this situation? I like all these rumors and everything, but you never know with recruiting.

Well it could be the way his parents have handled his recruitment. They seem to not treat it like a circus. Also could be that he is from Indiana and not Florida, Cali, or Texas.

From a post by Steve Wiltfong (I think he was the one who broke the story of Kiel to Indiana, so he has contacts close to Kiel):
"I asked the Kiel camp if there was anything to the student reaction in chanting LSU while Gunner was being awarded his Mr. Football award.
"Not that I know of," was the answer this morning.
Gunner Kiel's college decision is nothing I'd put money on. I don't think he's made up his mind. I think all three programs have had the momentum at one time."

still the same, that gunner is looking for a reason NOT to come to ND.
the prominent theory on the LSU chanting story is that it was either a) made up and never actually happened or b) gunner was going to pick ND but the LSU chants threw him off (once again, these are ND fans spinning it in their favor)
who knows?
