I know nothing about this kid except he attends my old high school. Benton beat Haughton 78-71 tonight in football. Yes you read that correctly. Manning had 8 TDs. He’s listed at 5’9 and was an all state basketball player as a sophomore last year. I can’t find much recruiting info on him but he may be one to keep an eye on.

Benton has some legit D-1 talent that has not been getting much press.
That WR - Pearce Russell is the truth. I have watched his highlights and not sure how ULM, La Tech, UL havent offered him yet.

I do agree but Haughton recovered 2 onside kicks in first half, returned THREE kickoffs for TDs, and intercepted Benton twice. The defensive performance was definitely bad but special teams and turnovers made it look even worse that it was. Amazing Benton won with Haughton getting 3 special teams TDs and their special teams/defense giving them the ball an extra 4 times.

Looking at some tape, he is more like 5’6”-5’7” but moves pretty well

Seen him play several times. Definitely undersized but I think he has sunbelt type D1 athletic talent. Airline has a great looking sophomore qb and really good looking wr and running back as well.

Qb for 8th grade and a stud. He’s right handed rolling left the other day and threw it 45 yards pretty effortlessly. I was pretty impressed with him. He’s a really good looking athlete. Already close to 6’1 6’2. Got a really good looking rb as well.
