Laura Rutledge reported on SEC Network today that Saban in fact did try to obtain Canada prior to LSU locking him up, he declined the Bama offer. I highly doubt she would have reported that if not true..

LSU. Not sure why it's so hard for some of y'all to believe that not everyone wants to be part of that program. Andy Reid had some pretty telling comments about Canada's coaching acumen, of course he's not the offensive guru that saban is now is he?

Rumor was Bama was one of those he turned down.......not that Bama or any Bama fan would ever admit it.
