Quad also plays basketball. Dropped 28 points and 9 rebounds last night. Pure Athlete.

Also, is he a 3 star right now? And is he listed as a pro-style QB? Looks like the kid can sling it from his highlights.

Just wanted to be in this thread because it is so awesome.

“Quad, the Dime” walking through the quad in three years is gonna be big time for him and LSU.

This thread is amazing and everything that is good about this University and it's alumni, football staff, and fan base! I'm hoping for the best out of Quad and LSU football in the future! Geaux Tigers!

Not seeing anything here or on 247. Any inside info you'd like to share?

I think It’s probably almost impossible to get big offers if you don’t camp these days.

This thread is wonderful. Glad he was able to get recognized.

However, there is a downside to this thread. Rantards will read this and latch on to the kid, because they feel connected to him. He will then become the next annointed LSU qb before he even puts on a helmet. While he's the back up QB he will be the worlds best QB, and if he ever earns the starting job he will instantly become a bum to the rant and his back up will be the next savior.

Coach,

How does Quad compare to James Foster from Lanier in Montgomery. We just visited him, and wondered if you had an opinion on Foster in this '18 cycle.

We liked good QBs

People really liked Mett

We’ve just actually had shitty QBs for years.

I am going to answer all the questions in 1 swoop here instead of answering directly in different posts.

I was asked about James Foster and my thoughts on him. To be fair, I would prefer not to do an informal eval in this forum, as I don't think its my place to do so as someone that coaches, mentors, and develops athletes. (I get this is a message board, but I want to keep my integrity in tact for my profession) I will say that he is a great Athlete and worthy of a Division 1 offer.

What I will say is that I believe Quad to be the best QB in the State of Alabama. I think often times LSU recruits either a pocket passer, or an athlete playing QB. We never really seem to get both, and to be fair, both is hard to find.

Quad is a QB that happens to be an Elite Athlete VS being an Elite Athlete trying to play QB. Quads mechanics, footwork, mental acuity and capabilities are ELITE. His biggest flaw is simply needing to gain weight while maintaining his fluidity. Obviously we are working on that.

With respect to the Question about whether or not Quad is a commit to LSU, the answer is no. We have been told that he will most likely be offered depending on several variables, but that the offer would come this Summer after he blows the doors off the camp. (Which he will)

At this time if Quad were offered by LSU he would be a solid immediate commit. He would shut his recruitment down. That is the 1000 percent truth. One concern I do have is that other schools are starting to contact us, and I simply do not want LSU to be behind the game with an offer. Quad LOVES what he has seen so far, and like said would be a solid commit today. We do have to keep in mind that Quad did not grow up a Tiger fan so he doesn't love LSU like we all do. So I simply don't want LSU to be late to offer. Doesn't mean he wouldn't still choose our Tigers, but it would throw some further thinking into the equation.

All that being said. I expect that Quad will be an LSU Tiger in 2019.

With An intelligent mentor like yourself I am sure that you have been telling him to trust the process. Interests that he hasn't heard from before could be due to the interest LSU is showing him right now not to take anything away from the product he puts on the field. I have seen this 1st hand before from other programs

Just remind him how much love LSU has shown him early in this processAs an up-and-coming quarterback

Just let him know that LSU not offering first doesn't mean much.

There are two schools in Mississippi who will likely be begging for recruits soon. They will have to jump all over people early just so they can say, "We really want you, we were first to offer." Im sure other schools will promise him the world as well. It should help that LSU was his first love....and it would also help if he hates those two bastard schools in the state of Alabama.

He isn't even considering Alabama and won't. He is loving the momentum with LSU, and frankly Quad is wise way beyond his years. He understands there are many complicated factors that go with this process. Like I said, if he gets offered, which I suspect he will, he will be in Purple and Gold.
