i like lasuzzo as a K man out the pen too and rittiner in long relief

No. Way.

Even against SEC competition you are still below the level of talent you will see even in the GCL or AZL. Throw in the garbage that you see in mid week games, guys throwing low 80s, junk ball breaking pitches and it isn't even close. There is a MUCH bigger difference between college and short season, and Low A leagues.

Not to mention while in the pros, you be focussing on baseball full time.

That all being said, I still think in the case of Gausman and Cecchinni would stand to be better off by coming to LSU with two years of leverage. But to say that they will face better competition by coming to LSU is just daft.
