i've never read it. i just remembered reading that asswipe's post in this thread word for word in the linked tidefan thread yesterday. I guess he's going the CFBchopblock route where you try to build up cred by pretending you aren't aligned with one school even though all of your post are horrible homer posts.

Tidefans cant be any worse than when a young The Egg aka LSU man in HTown was let loose on the Rivals pay boards 5-6 years ago.

I come to TD because it is the only site I've found where all teams are represented by fans. I didn't realize everyone had to identify themselves with one team.

You couldn't possibly have read my quote somewhere else, as I have not posted it anywhere but here. Feel free to try and find it though.

Obviously, the LSU coaches think Gibson is on the same level or they wouldn't have offered and taken his commitment.

But, it doesn't end there for fans. Rivals and Scout are for fans, not coaches. When there is a ranking that doesn't make sense, it's going to get bickered about. Especially when it deals with instate kids going out of state.

Gibson probably does compare favorably to Nick Perry. But I would disagree that he is on the same level with Vinson and Simon. IMO, Perry and Gibson should be 3 stars, which is still a great rating.
