If we survive this weekend, I think we almost take the lead on him.
If a guy like RSJ goes through this weekend without committing, it shows me he isn't as invested in Texas as people think.
And watching J.T. Barrett highlights, I easily see a Robert Griffin and a QB that was better than Griffin at that point in his career. Part of me hopes Swoopes commits to Texas this weekend to give us a good shot at Barrett, but Swoopes and RSJ are good friends.
The thing that is going to help us a lot with Tim Williams is he plays right in LSU's backyard, literally. Also, Miles' kid is on the team as well as Kragthorpes' I think. Thus, that gives Miles a lot more opportunities to visit with Williams since he is "watching his son play"

Was thinking about the same thing. I want Swoopes to commit to Texas so we can have a shot at Barrett. (They are very confident he is all Texas). But then I want Swoopes to go elsewhere so Ricky is not swayed by his good friend.

That is HUGE!!!! Shows me that he really is looking around and one day at Texas I don't think he will commit.
Another thing, Art Briles at Baylor has a lot of interest in Swoopes. The problem with that is maybe he won't commit this weekend and Mack as his usual self will go straight to Barrett with an offer, who would probably commit. Swoopes then goes to Baylor and we swing and miss with QBs in Texas, except for Kincaide

This class needs a big time QB, WR, & DT. Hopefully, we can pull some big time players from out of state this year.

played football for Prarieville group when they were young but all go to UHS. Krag and Cooper have kids that are in Williams class (Jrs) Miles' son is a freshman. Williams is on LSU campus everyday, and will know all there is to know about LSU. To me his decision is going to come down to whether or not he wants to leave the state. I just hope that if he decides to leave the state he lets LSU know early.
