Not sure why Franks would go to Florida so he can sit behind Grier once he comes back. I think his appeal will get the suspension lifted. JMHO. But Franks comes to LSU and Harris has one more year and then he is in the driver's seat for 3 years unless he heads to the NFL after his Junior year. He starts a minimum of 2 years at least. Sorry to Justin McMillan but I don't see Franks ever sitting behind McMillan.

Yeah, Harris isn't going anywhere after his junior season.

Dupre (top 15), Dural (first 3 rounds), and Fournette (top 5) will all be gone by then. I don't think it's out of the realm of possibility that Harris could leave after a strong showing next season.

You really think this Harris could be ready to go next year? He doesn't have near the chance to be drafted high compared to guys like Watson, Kaaya, Falk, Mahomes, Rudolph, etc. That's just the sophomores. I mean there are going to be a few really good juniors that return next year too.

If he left next year, he would have had to make a ridiculous improvement. Most of the offense utilized in the NFL requires you to make accurate and quick passes. He doesn't even come close to doing that right now. He can't even control the speed of his passes yet.

I think it's best for him to exhaust his eligibility. LSU has good receivers every year. Quinn and Chark will be seniors if they are still here, Johnson and Ferguson will be juniors, Dillion will be a redshirt sophomore, and we have some impressive 6'4 commits right now and trying to reel in Drake Davis. That's not even adding in the 6'4+ receiving TEs that we keep getting yet rarely utilize.

I'm not banking on it happening, but if he were to make a similar leap from 2 -> 3 as he did 1 -> 2, I could see why he would. We do consistently reload at WR, and Guice will still be here for Harris' senior season. I'm just saying the whole "no way Harris goes pro after next year" position feels a little hyperbolic.

Harris has as much arm talent as anyone. If he puts up 2,500 yards and 20 TDs next year he is gone and will be drafted in the top 3 rounds

If the guy was that gung ho for LSU and flipped that quickly, then we probably don't need him anyway. We need someone with chest who is prepared and motivated to lead the program. He's 17 or 18 years old so no need to be surprised at whatever he does.

My friend tells me that they are telling Franks that they are ready to move past Grier now and that he is starter as soon as he steps on campus. It didn't help that my friend was watching him at some game when he threw for like 350 yards. They believe that he is a once in a decade player and r going all out for him. He will replace a QB named Harris either way.

But I don't think they have him yet like they claim, but he is damn sure thinking about it.

I just talked to Frank's cousin. He told me that he talked to Feleipe about the Florida situation and that ultimately we have nothing to worry about, he'll be a Tiger.
