For comparison, Michael Ford ran a 10.53 100m.

NFL combine forty: 4.50

What's particularly impressive about his time is it came in a slow week around the state. That cool front come through and all the 10.6 guys were running 11.0s. I don't think Guice broke 11 seconds and neither did Brazil.

Of course, different meets, different tracks and all that. But I do think the weather was the same in New Orleans as the other meets, right? To run that time in that week is impressive.

I'm hoping it's nice and warm this weekend at LSU so these guys can bust out some good times at the state meet.

Guice, Kalil Thomas, Cory McBride were all smoked by Palelei.
Don't know the time, but saw video. Wasn't even close.

You're right, but wasn't the winning time like 11.22? These are all guys who are capable of running 10.6 or thereabouts (I think most of them have) and Palelie wins it with an 11.22?

I mean, McBride is supposed to be a track-first guy. He should be able to run 11-flat in his sleep.

Just FYI, I hear McBride strained a hammy. Not sure if it was during the race or before the race and he was a DNP. But was told by a good source his hammy knocked him out.

Makes sense because while I think Guice, Thomas and Palalei are all better football players than McBride, I'd expect McBride to win on the track.

I didn't know this, just saw a video from a phone. McBride was beating Fournette and Palelei in Indoor, so I was a little surprised. McBride is pretty explosive on the football field, they don't get him the ball enough, IMO. He's better than Christy; much more physical.
