Curley and Archer were proof that LSU doesn't recruit itself. DiNardo too, but to a much lesser degree.

Don't kid yourself, if we get the wrong coach things can go down hill in a nano second.

The people that refuse to give Miles credit for anything. It's been said on this board before.

not only has it been said before, there were posters on this board that came right out and stated they could do a better job than miles because they wouldn't have to worry about the recruits as LSU recruited itself. ignorance is one thing but opening one's mouth and letting everyone else know about it is, well, ignorant.

I think it goes together with our recruiters and LSU itself. LSU can't recruit itself but it definitely doesn't hurt when recruiters use it as a pitch.

most people who bust leslie's balls (like myself) will admit to you he's a great recruiter.

my main problems with him involve the running of the offense, offensive player development, and game management.

as this is the recruiting board i will not go any further. i am trying to change my ways.

Sure we have something to sell, but it wasn't always that way. Not when we weren't winning any conference games and we were losing to USM.

Mack Brown is doing a terrible job right now using UT as a pitch.

I'm glad you set the record straight with evidence of schools other than LSU. Apparently, Texas and USC Trojans do not "recruit itself(s)."

I remember reading last year after the loss to bama, and LC debacle, that Lsu was going to be in a decline and recruiting was going to be a major disaster. well were are those poster today? Negatigers back in their cages till something else goes wrong and the doomsayers return.

There are very few people that don't give CLM and this staff credit for being great recruiters. He gets knocked for game management and making changes.

I hate to spoil all the fun of this thread but LSU didn't lose a game two days ago so none of them are reading. They'll be back, and they damn sure won't give credit where it's due.

OOS on par or better than any class in recent memory, locking down nearly every target in the state, and supposed 'boom(s)' coming tomorrow...

Fire. Miles. Now.

When did we lose to USM?? USM beat bama a couple of times, thats why we hired Hallman, I think???

50% of college football success can be (in my mind) attributed to recruiting. Maybe more.

1999 was the same poster who thought Rettig wasnt coming I believe!

Now, most logical LSU fans believe CLM is an awesome recruiter or our program would have taken a turn for the worst after Sabans recruits left. Our program though has remained in the top ten and CLM should get alot if not all the credit and this class is another Great Class!

We still need a true Offensive Coordinator and not an O-line coach acting as one, now this does not mean I want Coach Stud gone either! Just back to coaching the O-line and Cam Cameron to come and run our offense!

amen to this...I sat in the stadium through that shite...recruiting is 75% of a team's success and any staff that cannot excel at recruiting will be gone in a short period of time...
