That’s an absolute no-no in the portal era. Guys who enter the portal tend to start looking at teams and coaches they built relationships with in recruiting.

5 years ago LSU won a title, so not the best place to start your chicken little argument.
Secondly, it’s been beat to death but it’s not easy coming back from 30 scholarship players in Jan of 2021. The portal made it a much easier transition but it was always going to be a tough stretch.
