I know that this is always the common answer and in the adult world with most jobs, yes, this is the smartest play.
But a lot of these kids (especially one of this caliber) are thinking about the next level and making money that will change their grandchildren's lives at some point. So you'd think putting some interest in things like development, relationship with coaches, path to playing time etc. would matter.
At this level it should be a mix of money and the things I mentioned above. Because the next level is where you actually can change your life forever.
