Or people can find something else to enjoy. Put their money into that and say frick college football. If the TVs aren’t on and butts aren’t in the stands what’s the point of NIL?

I personally still watch because why not. I’m not spending any amount of money on going to the games or anything else. It’s entertainment.

Oh okay....

Enlighten us

I'd also like to be enlightened. I don't have insider info of any sort. Although I read TD, I don't believe everything is the gospel truth. What really happened w/ Citizen?

It doesn't cost tax payers anything. It costs those who voluntarily choose to buy tickets and donate to TAF.

So all of the NIL money comes from TAF? None comes from private companies outside of the TAF such as Raising Canes? And if it does come from private companies outside of TAF, might they raise the prices of their goods and/or services to make up for the revenue spent on NIL?

I believe that's what the poster you responded to was trying to get at.

Wins/losses don’t matter anymore.

Having good relationship with players/family doesn’t matter anymore.
Playing for the home state doesn’t matter anymore.

None of this mattered as much as you thought it did in the first place. Money has been first and foremost for years now.

And if a company that you transact with raises its prices to a level you think are too high, you are free to not purchase from that business establishment. The thing about spending is that people can control what their discretionary is. Nothing related to NIL is going to impact non-discretionary expenditures to run a household, not going to impact price of gas, water and gas, electricity, cable and internet services, etc.

No shite. Louisiana is a poor state. Unless LSU donors gonna commit Bama psycho level money or NIL reforms, expect a decade of 8-4.

Stop this narrative, LA real per capita income (factoring in taxes and cost of living) is actually higher than most SEC footprint states. See Forbes below.

LINK

Now LA Median income is similar to the per-capita (i.e. average) and that suggest states like Texas with a high Median of about 61K vs. LA 49k has lots of very, very, poor people on the lower income distribution skewing its average.

LINK

Still LA is in terms of income not to different from other SEC footprint states.

Anyone could have predicted it beforehand and everyone knows it now, yet people still think that they need to make a thread saying what has already been said thousands and thousands of times. As if it coming from their keyboard this time will cause it to finally sink in.
