I understand what your saying, but this is all situational. It really depends on his major, not the overall rank of the school. I hope he took it all into consideration.

Unless you’re Ivy League, no employer gives a flying frick about where your college was ranked.

We were talking about what a kid's mom looks at if education is high on her list, specifically if she is in the field of education.

In terms of hiring, people look at the reputation of the school if you're fresh out of college. Some companies even have a list of preferred schools. If you think otherwise, you have had very limited with hiring managers. People also have certain biases related to where they went to school or where the company is located but that is a totally different subject.

Once you have experience, where you got your degree is almost an afterthought.
