Hes played in 2 games with limited snaps for the first time in 2 years. I dont see how you can say such things with any certainty. Lets see if Emery will learn, he's got time and he hasnt had much wear and tear. I could see him on an NFL roster for sure if he gets it together because the physical tools are there.
RB is probably the easiest position from which to make an immediate impact. Going into 2019 LSU had Clyde as their likely starter. He had shown flashes of good play in 2017 and 2018, but it was still clear he didn't have the "homerun" speed/ability Emery seemed to posses. It was not unreasonable to think it would be just a matter of time before Emery was getting a significant amount of carries. Instead, he quickly sunk to the bottom of the depth chart.
In 2020 Clyde was gone. TDP had good moments in 2019, but probably not enough where you could say he was far and away the lead back. Emery played sparingly vs. MSU...then had a good game vs a bad Vanderbilt team....before essentially disappearing the rest of the season until he had one brilliant TD run vs. Alabama that displayed all of the promise that made him such a highly regarded recruit...then he was gone again for a year.
LSU now enters game 5 of what is Emery's 4th season at LSU. To date, his career accomplishments are one good game vs Vandy and one great run vs Alabama. LSU's leading rusher (Goodwin) may not play, or at least may be limited. If there was ever an opportunity for Emery to step in an start to fulfill the promise he arrived with FOUR YEARS AGO this seems like it. If he's not on the field much...or has a relatively average performance...I think you can start to close the book on him ever being the great RB he was hoped to be.

Emery is the best RB to come out of LA since Kevin Faulk

This dude isnt close to Fournette or Guice.
Hell he’s not even Jeremy Hill. I’d take any of the 4 backs in rotation from our 2011 or 2007 teams. And we haven’t even mentioned CEH yet.
He’s got less than a thousand yards in total offense since 2019 and is currently averaging less than 4 yards per carry this season.
I’m routing for the kid but this statement says one of two things, either you’re related to Emery or you know absolutely nothing about LSU football.

At what point has he ever looked like a great RB at LSU? Fournette looked great the moment he stepped on the field, as did Faulk, as did Guice.
CEH looked really good by late year 2, dominic davis in year 2, joe addai in year 2 and so on. Cecil Collins looked good right away.
Emery isn’t going to be that guy. never has shown it and isn’t going to now.
