Curious Question here. With reports of Emery coming to LSU very soon, do y’all think this will hurt us with the Zachary Evans race? I 100% want Emery to commit. I’m wondering what you all think about if this will turn off Evans from us seeing the #2 RB in the nation committ to LSU a year before he would. What are yall’s thoughts?

UGA been able to stockpile top RBs (excluding Emery). We should be able to as well.

Evans is nice, but if we get Emery and Davis I’m really not bothered

A kid like Zach Evans isnt worried about depth. If we don't pull him, it's not because of depth. As of right now we are in a very good spot

Kind of but we need evans next year so we don't have such bad drop off when dungeons guess down misses game or is suspended. We need a stable to complement the qb

I think that one in the hand is worth two in the bush. I really don’t care if a kid who isn’t committed to us hypothetically wants to run from competition, we’ve repeatedly shown that we can sign elite running backs in consecutive classes and still get them in the league. I want Emery in this class now and we can worry about 2020 later

Signing LF didn't scare Guice or DW away. I doubt Evans has any less chest. I will be extremely happy to get Emery though. I'm ridin'

Honestly you take the first and anything after that is a bonus.

You don’t pass on/ slow play an elite back hoping for next year, especially when that is a real need right now.

Think of it this way, Georgia and Alabama has 3-5 scholarship 4-5* Running Backs. That is too much competition. LSU has 2 4* and 1 3* rb on roster that matter. With ty Davis and John Emery we will have one 3*, three 4*s, and one 5*. That's alot less competition for Zachary Evans than if he would go to somewhere like Georgia or Alabama. Yea we would have alot of backs but he would come in as a freshman on par or better than his upper classmen excluding John Emery or maybe ty Davis.

So no imo zach Evans will not see LSU as having too much RB competition.

Every year UGA and Bama pull in top 5 RBs so I don't see why LSU can't.

Not worried Zach Evans is one of those guys that would get playing time no matter what. I actually think Davis is going to be our best all around RB. Emery will be that guy you put in when the defense is worn out from Davis.

Not to mention Curry when he gets it figured out. We'll have those pounding backs along with those guys who can get to the edge. With the OL we have coming in this will be a tough offense to deal with. I'm pumped about our future on offense.

Now all we need to do is keep plugging away at DL/OL/QB. It starts with the LOS then the QB then RB and WRs. We also need that big dominant TE. Keep coming at them O!!

i think we sell Zach next year on being the only RB taken next year in our class.

That’s a bold move. It paid off for Fournette, but he was also proud to rep NOLA and LA overall.
