I agree...LSU is looking for these 300lb monsters that run the 4.6 and the linebackers at 250..big running backs and great d-backs..you are not seeing that at Curtis lately. Miles has the whole country to recruit with his success. I do think this will open the door a little for the new Tulane guy to get some good recruits from La.

Only JC recruit in the last 10 years who received an offer from LSU who didn't go to LSU.

I thought that Eddie took the classes that got him qualified in Baton Rouge on LSU's campus.
What am I missing here?

You mean 260lb DEs? Name one linebacker at 250lbs on the roster.

JT has a massive, massive man crush on Saban, you're ignorant to argue otherwise.
I didn't say anything about man-crushes on anyone. I said he doesn't have anything against LSU. I do find it funny that a lot of people on here talk about how Evangel and Curtis prospects never pan out, but then bitch and complain saying that the coaches at those schools steer kids away from LSU.
I don't believe that Curtis is steering kids away from LSU but, if they are being steered away, and they don't pan out, wouldn't the coaches be doing LSU a favor?

A buddy of mine had to take summer school classes at Gable's (off of Old Jefferson) and said Eddie Lacy was there. He said he had trouble spelling his name for the most part.

I believe the story was LSU correspondence taken at John Curtis, along with Sentimore

what about when their coaching tree spreads to say Bastrop?

I would argue that the amount of players from Bastrop that have panned out is close to that of Evangel or Curtis, which is to say not that many. There has been a lot of guys that have been medically processed after signing out of state from Bastrop.
I'll wait to see if more kids get pushed OOS from Bastrop, but the guy this year wouldn't have a position at LSU unless he decided to become the next Chuck Wiley and move to DT from LB.

Curtis prospects really don't pan out usually

JT likes to steer his lower end kids to LSU. He prefers his stars to go out of state to sell his brand nation wide.
Robby Green - Bama
McKnight - USC
Jonathan Wells - OSU

I'm pretty sure the lack of an offer from LSU had more impact on Green not coming to LSU than any influence that Curtis may have had.

true...When he gets guys like mcknight and wells, he sells out of state harder.
