Cryer’s uncle was recruited to play for LSU by Bo Rein but was uncomfortable signing with LSU following Rein’s death.

Gave us a great kid….I sit close to his parents at the games and will be able to get a feel for if he is sold on A&M or chance for the good guys

Charlie Cryer was the last football recruit Bo Rein recruited. He left Charlie Cryer’s house from an in home visit in Shreveport, got on a plane and was never seen again.

I’m with you I cannot understand why we didn’t retain him, he was an excellent recruiter. I hope we pick him up here in the future, why allow a rival to use him against us
