DT is a huge concern
Roy could go pro
It's gonna be hard to find decent DT in the transfer portal, not exactly falling off trees

Do we have anyone on the radar at DT?

Dangerously thin there looking at next season. We don’t know if Langston is any good. And I don’t see any impact tackles we are in on. Not ideal.

The coaches seem to really like Darron Reed who will play inside. Quite possible that he’s a little underrated (like a lot of our current commits).

What ever happened to the Jordan Hall smoke? Thought we were high on his list there for a minute.

What's up with jordan hall and amauri washington?

Have to sign at least 2 linebackers a year and hope one hits.

I'm still high on demario tolan and perkins will be a star.

To be honest, I wouldn't be horrified if we got on this guy.

His body definitely isn't pretty, and he's not very tall, but there's a little Booger McFarland in him.

We don't have a signing limit this year so we can afford to take some chances on some 3-star kids. Buxton seems like one who might pan out.

And there's this kid, too. Who might be better than Buxton.

He's taller, better body, and he's really quick off the ball. Kinda iffy finishing plays, but I think you can coach that. No question he's got some serious raw strength to him.

And one more; this guy is lighter than the other two but he's more athletic and maybe a better fit for what Kelly is looking for on the line - guys who just need good weight put on rather than bad weight taken off.

Point is, you have a handful of kids in Louisiana who might well play their way into a scholarship at LSU and would probably commit if they got a chance.

All three of these kids are catching offers from out-of-state schools which are worthwhile, though none at LSU's level yet.

Next year DL is

Wingo
Smith
Wiggins
Guillory
Langston
Hill
Darron Reed

Could use one more for sure

LB not as big of a need mostly due to scheme

Penn
Weeks
Perkins
Fields
Tolan
Weeks

They are after Jayvant Brown from St Thomas Aquinas still, I believe.

As of right now.. I think Roy has to come back.

He hasn’t played like somebody who can leave early.

Can always add another DT from portal after season but I do think they will try to close on one to add to this class

It's cause he is playing nt mostly.

Roy can leave for the nfl after this yeat if he wants and will be at worst a 3rd rounder. At worst.

I haven’t watched Buxton’s film before. I like his game a lot. Really active hands, long arse arms, and plays to his assignment. He’s built like Neil Farrell, but Farrell was a beast for us. He plays too high, but that can be fixed. We should add him.
