When a super-star athlete drags out the recruiting process it rarely turns out well for either party - the student athlete or the college institution. Drama is rarely a good recipe for collegiate success. The ones that come in under the radar w something to prove are the difference makers in conference and national championships. Just sayin'

The Biletnikoff winner was a 5 star who committed to 3 schools.

Reading this made me think of Koy Moore. I believe in that kid, I think he’s going to be really special.

drama in recruiting is blown out of proportion because fans let it get there. Sure some players are attention whores but sometime it’s y’all.

Burch didn’t make it dramatic, the fan bases and journalists did.

The kid kept his mouth shut about the whole process. Wish him the best, can’t blame him for staying home.

Apples and oranges. Burch's saga was a total shite show. This wasn't about him changing his mind which is part of the game.

If you listened to Ed O's 2/5 press conference, it was clear that he wrote off Jordan Burch when he didn't sign for LSU at the signing ceremony.

Hence, the constant chatter subsequently that Ed O was in constant contact with Jordan Burch and his mother coming from the South Carlina side was I believe emanating from Jordan Burch and his mother extorting Will Muschamp and South Carlina for a payoff. Which probably came late yesterday afternoon.

There does seem to be a correlation between drama during recruiting process and under-performing expectations. Perriloux, Akers, Mack, Willis, the QB "with no chest," the DB that went to Tennessee, possibly Evans, etc. Probably has something to do with character somehow?

Tell how Butch actually dragged this out? He signed an LOI with the team he originally committed fo. Was there some weird stuff toward the end, sure.

What that was or who was behind it is not totally clear but it reads to me like his mom started wondering “is my son making this decision because his friends and I have been putting too much pressure on him?” Some parents do that with kids they know are heavily influenced by others opinions. I have a kid like that, I often pause a situation to make sure that kid is making the decision based on what they want, not what they perceive someone else wants or will benefit most by.

Just my take on it all, I do wish he had selected LSU.

Misguided people seek joy in the material.
