This is true. My next door neighbor is from Baton Rouge. He works at Tech and can't stand LSU. Another case -- my best friend went to Tech. He moved to Baton Rouge to work -- and still hates LSU. Doesn't go to any games.

Its a kid from New Orleans who played with several LSU players. I understand this is TigerDroppings but I mean come on!! If the kid is from Louisiana and staying in state to go to school then who cares what board it is on.

You're right. I dont mean anythng negative towards the kid. I am real about the techies though. They hate LSU and that's a fact.

Not true. I'm Tech alum and love LSU. "Tech People" are kinda like UlaLa fans. Divided into those who hate LSU because they are jealous and don't know their schools role in the big picture (and unfortunaly overly vocal) and those (like me) who love LSU and still pull for LaTech because there is no conflict of interest. Apples to oranges.
We had some huge LSU game day parties while I was in Ruston (a long time ago) with tons of "Tech people" pulling for the Tigers.

Thats great to hear. Honestly though "all" of my La Tech experiences have been negative about LSU. To this day I have neighbors and guys I know from the ballpark and there's just some tension about it..

These are the new Techies. It used to be that the fans of all state schools pulled for the others when they weren't playing against each other.
Now, you've got the psycho Techies calling for boycotts of stores that sell LSU items until they sell Tech items. The stores aren't being discriminatory, they are just stocking what will sell.

Not all Tech people hate LSU. Just like not all ULM, ULL, Mcneese, Tulane etc hate lsu. I'm a proud Tech grad and its great to hear about Porter. Having been next to him on the sideline in the state title game he looks like he is ready for the next level. However why do people post Tech recruiting stuff on an lsu message board and expect LSU fans to care? Just like why would LSU fans post about their recruiting class on the tech board?

I dont know about "new". When I was a kid (New Orleans area) you were either LSU or you were Tulane. Maybe 10% crossed over and cheered for the other but generally speaking, we pulled against Tulane always always. I kind of like the in state support though, in a perfect world. So maybe what Im saying is I want to have techdawg's baby.

It won't sell. Not that there is anything wrong with Tech. It's just in a small town with a small(er) alumni base.
