The agent for Jason Varitek, Travis Lee and JD Drew was able to find loopholes in the draft mechanism where they basically became free agents. There is no greater leverage than that. Their agent was Scott Boras.

Oh, a retirement package before he starts his MLB career? Highly doubt it, unless its 3-5 franchise locations for no franchise fee and he pays Todd much less than the normal gross revenue, and he gets a few million per year. Then, I still doubt it!
