Fantastic...another useless Les Miles thread. Face it.. unless he posts a loosing record "HE AINT GOIN ANYWHERE!!!!" And then it depends on how bad the team looks. Why don't some of you freshmen and sophomores get a life.

FWIW I think this year will save him his job, but only it he has 8 or more wins
nope. if he has another 4 or 5 loss season (which would give him 3 straight zook like seasons as far as losses go) he should be canned. only 3 losses or less will save his arse.

You guys claim to be fans?
You could cheer for Miles to get it done.
Trash.

If you weren’t a negatiger, you wouldn’t want Miles to continue leading LSU back into mediocrity. Instead, you’d prefer to dump Miles to get a better coach.
Trash!

Lynx, Miles is signed through 2012 if I am not mistaken, because he didn't get his contract extended the past 2 seasons.
That said, after this year, he'll be owed $7.5 M if let go. Chavis has ~$2 M. I believe Crowton will have $500 K after this year. So for those 3, that's $10 M.
Not sure where you are getting these other $12M from at this point. We have 7 other position coaches under contract. I believe Cooper has 2 years left on 3 year contracts including this year, so after this season they are down to 1 year. Haley got a raise and extension with Chavis somehow, but not sure what the details were.
Studs is in the same boat as Crowton. Will have 1 year after this season so that'll be around $350 K.
Gonzales and Wilson are ~$1M each on their contracts, and doubt Emsfinger is even that much.
All that said, I don't think you'll need to get rid of the defensive coaches. If LSU wants to get rid of Les AFTER this season, it will be About $10 M for him and the offensive staff at most.
Wilson likely will stay. No new coach would be that stupid to just dump a great recruiter like him. Gonzales would be the question.

Let me be clear: I'm negative because I think we should cheer for the players and coaches to get the job done; you are positive because you want to fire the coach, who did in fact coach the team to one of two recent championships, in exchange for some undetermined coach to be named later? Really?
Wow...wow...

The idiots with a hatred for Miles are immune to logic. They are like a crying baby that wants what it wants with no consideration of reality. In other words, fricktards. However the only way to shut them up will be a strong showing on the field, but they'll still find something to bitch about then too. They think all of us with positive outlooks just have sunshing pumping out of our asses and we're all happy as clams about the last two years when in reality we realize the ebb and flow of football and the disastrous effects of losing Perrilloux. But Miles has had plenty of time to regroup. In 08 we had no experience at Quarterback and soft as shite defense. In 09 we had horrible Oline play and an overprotective quarterback. No more excuses and I see us with at least 10 wins this year. But god would I like the bashers to shut the frick up. Football season needs to be here already.

Fantastic...another useless poster. Go play in traffic if your gonna waste our team having to read your stupid crap. Also, I probably make more money than you do anyway, which would mean I am not a freshmen or sophomore. But that's all besides the point
There are some prospects out there that are worried about Miles' security (they will remain nameless), and it's a reason for some on why they haven't committed or LSU jumping out way ahead of the other schools
