Change their rankings of a player after they make it to the NFL?
It's sounds silly, but I know Sen'Derrick Marks wasn't a 4* out of HS.

I wouldn't think so. What would be their motive in doing so? They rank players before they get to college, once they enroll why go back and change them?

Rivals Ranking is an assigned percentage of talent. A 5* is thought to have enough natural talent and skill set to have a 50 percent chance of making the NFL...it scales down from there...a 2* has IIRC a 5 percent chance of making the NFl...our Rival guys explained it on the radio one day and I filed these away for later use.

But how does that explain him gaining 2 more stars after he finished college?
It was thrown in my face a lot that he was a 2* that dominated....

Magilla IDK why they do it, but I have noticed it as well.
I wonder if it's to make their rankings seem more precise... IDK, but bottom line is they do change them after a player reaches the NFL

That's some straight bullshite, you can't just change your mistakes and think everything will be peaches and cream.
But whatever, they are still getting my money

Rivals sure doesn't want people to know that...

Didn't they go back and change Patrick Willis from a 2 star to a 3 star once he made it to the NFL?

That is some straight up bullshite. That makes me think rivals has zero integrity and lack a lot of credibility also.
That is really pretty pathetic. Basically just lying when you go back and change stuff after the fact to try to make yourself look better when you are wrong.

Daren Bates was a 2* too but it's yet to be seen if he will be a star

Scout does it too to make themselves look better.

They do it based upon where a kid comits, so it is not unreasonable to see them do once a kid makes it to the NFL. Very self serving....

this should get discussed on the rivals main board..that would get intresting

I've never noticed them change any of the LSU recruits.
Do they ever change a players ranking any lower? Maybe somebody like Willie Williams.

No.
In fact, they typically run a column every year about guys they got right, guys they missed on etc.
