Does Pickering stick with MSU after DL coach leaves?

Pickering tweeted two days ago "Never commit/sign to a coach." He retweeted it a few hours ago and said "Would you look at that..."
His tweet implies that he is still sold on the MSU program.

I hope so. I’d rather see him at MSU than follow his dline coach to Bama

MSU is falling apart.
However, that was plain to see before this move. Unless the kid was just in denial of the painful truth, and this somehow wakes him up, I doubt this changes anything.

Yes. Supposedly has a several family members working for MSU.

Yes. The question is does the hire lock in Young? He was seriously considering MSU. Looking more and more like Sopsher or Moore. So to most benefit LSU, it may hinge on Pickering having a change of course on his Bama visit next week for us to land another DL. So for us to land one Bamas class may actually have to improve. #BamaProblems

Man I want Young, Pickering and Moore so damn bad!! Add Sopsher and that's icing on the cake but those 3 would be fine with me. LSU would be well on its way at the DL position if we were to land 3 of these 4 plus the 2020 class coming in. Wow the depth would change dramatically.
Just think about that 2021 class and year with this type of depth at DL. We should add another rush guy as well. I would also like for LSU to recruit field OLBs and MLBs who can rush the passer well too. That way we could come at those OLs in so many directions that they wouldn't be able to keep up. Looking forward to our future recruiting at all these positions.
Fix these lines and so many of other things would fix themselves. What a difference it would make to have 5 stud OTs so we could create a 2 deep with 1 more to move around incase of injury. The OG position seems to be easier for LSU to recruit and fill.
I would also like to see LSU start to recruit bigger but quick and athletic OLBs who can play the run and be a force in the middle for OLs. With the athletic NTs LSU has and if we could get them into shape LSU would stay in the opposing teams backfield if we had bigger OLBs on both sides playing the run or rushing then passer. With the athletes we have at the DB position and MLB positions like Phillips, Delpit, Brooks, Stevens and so on just think how tough it would be for offenses if we had 6'4 265lb OLBs who were quick and could push the pocket with power similar to how our DEs can do but with more agility and speed. Kinda like a mix between DE and LB.
LSU would eat people's lunch in the run game and on 2nd and 3rd and long situations with this type of front seven. OLBs who can bull rush, set an edge and get around or in between those OL's. I think that would be a brick wall for opposing offenses and we would be feared like no ones business. Maybe have like 1 or 2 guys like Chassion to come in at certain times but not in our base defense. Have those bigger guys in there most of the time. It would create so much more pressure and our TO/Sacks would go up exponentially.
I hope Ed O and Aranda move to these type of OLBs starting now and into next year. These lighter guys have proven not to work unless you have this really special type of talent like Key or Chassion. Go get em O and Aranda. I think LSU could use another recruiter or maybe DL coach. Not that meatball can't get it done and isn't a great coach but maybe if we had a proven guy with a big name we would be able to recruit at another level. O needs to recognize these types of things and make the changes quickly when he sees the issue. I see an issue and I think it could be fixed quickly with the right hire. I just don't think meatball is getting it done. Time to make a move O. Go get you an Elite recruiter with high energy who has a proven track record and high energy who moms love. Get em O.

I bet we only get 1 of those at best. I would not be surprised to get none of those four.

I wouldn't be surprised either. We need at least 2 of these 4 and 3 would be ideal. Add a pass rusher and we're set for the future. This is the type of recruiting we need at DL if we're going to honestly compete consistently.
The same goes for the OL. I see some changes happening but not much. I think Cregg will bring in some stud OLman in 2020 though. They need to figure out how to fill these positions if they don't get it done from HS recruits or JUCO then hit the transfers hard. If we do go that route then the players need to be real contributors not simply fillers. If that's the case then just wait a year and make it up next year and the following year.
We need studs not filler players. Do what ever you need to get those types of players here. We'll see how Charles, Deculus, Wire, Rosenthal and Traore develop as well as the freshman coming in. Hopefully we land Parker who can play TE then cross train to play OT when his body develops into that type of player.
We honestly need DLman and another corner as well. Ideal would be 3 DL (including a rush end) 1 OT, 1 CB, and 1 S prospect. All top 20 players at their positions and guys they think will develop into real talents. I'll also take 3 DL, 2 OTs and 1 CB then grab 2 or 3 of the best safeties in next years class with 1 of them from JUCO or transfer portal.
Then I'm taking 5 DL, 4-5 OL, 1-2 QBs, 3CBs, 3 WRs, 2 S's, 2-4 LBs, 2 TEs, 1-2 RBs in next years class. Have to keep stacking up those OL/DL/QB/LB positions. Needs some edge rushers badly. Need to start recruiting a different type of OLB IMO. GT

Yea, I'm pretty sure most fans do. It would be beyond great. That being said, Ika is the real deal. I don't think he gets the respect some others get, but he is a future All American and NFLer. The nose position is in good hands for the next 3 years. I really like Evans as well, he isn't Ika's level, but he will be a very good player. If there is one position I think LSU needs to get better recruits and more of them, it's Oline. But, Pickering is all MSU, no way he goes against momma's wishes. I think LSU has a good shot at Young, just a gut feeling. Other's have mentioned LSU is in good shape for Moore. I haven't any idea about Sopsher. A month ago I thought he was all bama, now I don't know. I think O has done some work in that area and Sopsher's poor showing in the AA game may have deterred Saban and staff somewhat.

Unfortunately, I think you may be correct.

Nice post.
I'd just like to add that we've already missed on most of the high-impact transfers that were available this year.
Our recruiting on the lines, in particular, is lagging a bit more than many people want to believe, it seems. You could say we're doing alright at OG and NT...that's it.

THIS!!
And if we get a transfer in from Trevor Lawrence and possibly even Jerry Jeudy look out - we stacked!
