Based on the lack of activity in this thread, I am assuming that it's not as big a deal as initially thought...

No, he wasn't secretive about it, he just wanted to take a trip with his boys. We're not in any position to be telling the Mike Davis' of the world to go to hell b/c they take a trip.

Yeah, and I don't think any team is really in that situation. However, this kind of stuff makes me wish that there was an early signing period in college football.

Definitely. The only problem with that is that a lot of coaching changes would occur after a recruit signs.

I noticed that Wallace is a top 50 guy for 2011, which way do you think he goes: A&M who already has two of his LB teammates, or LSU where Davis is likely to be?

My best guess at this point is UT.

Update:

I've been told that Miles found out from a certain recruiting site, who found out from other players at the game that Mike Davis took an OFFICIAL visit. (Apparently, he spent the entire weekend in College Station.)

Davis did not mention anything to Miles about visiting prior to his trip.

**

If this is the case, Miles has some decisions to make.

He can either keep Davis around and forget about it. BUT, in doing this he may lose the respect of some of the current commits. If he lets Davis take an official after giving him an ultimatum, then other commits are not going to take his ultimatum seriously.

Or, he can pull Davis' offer and risk losing a single recruit. BUT, it would show current commits and future recruits how important he considers his offers and their pledges to his program.

Thoughts?

Sometimes you have to make tough decisions. If he visited them without telling you have to cut ties with him. Just wait until the facts come out he might have just wanted to chill with his boys.

Let me guess, your information is from the great source TigerBait?

Give me a break. It seems to me that you are just trying to start crap, and even worse is maybe you're some misguided Aggie Fan hoping our fans get riled up, insult Mike Davis and scare him away.

Corey Nelson is going to Tennessee this weekend for an official, do not be surprised to see Davis go with him.

Misinformed and blowing things way out of proportion.
