Haven't read through this entire thread but you're a god damned retard, girl. Not one bit of what you said is one of the reasons Kiel left for Notre Dame. Dude left because of Mommy and didn't have the decency to let out coaches know he wasn't coming. He got what he deserved IMO and Coach Miles isn't the first to publicly say something like this. Probably the most blunt about it but whatever. I'm glad he's not taking his usual pussy approach to it

Kiel = Oz Complex
No heart
No brain
No courage
There's no place like home, there's no place like home....
Glad Les spoke his mind. God forbid if someone gets criticized in our society these days...

are the Catholic chicks at Notre Dame less appealing than the Catholic chicks at LSU?

I thought it was pretty funny and did what it was intended to do, Fire up the crowd. Can't blame him for being a lil pissed and hopefully that intensity continues on to next season because that Miles is the one that won in 2007

Yes they are, and they talk funny too.

Miles did it to Porter 3 years ago and not one kid has not come to LSU because of it. It's just a bs excuse. I'm proud of Les Miles for showing our fans that he isn't playing nice anymore. Isn't that what we've all been asking for the last month? We want him to be more like Saban correct? This was step 1.
It's funny how people keep bringing this up, even in a positive light. There is vast difference in what Miles did and what Saban has done. Miles did the right thing. Kid is still on the roster. I do, however disagree with the statement that Miles should take steps closer to being more like Saban. I don't want a disingenuous douchebag. I would rather someone who will be loyal to fault.

I really don't understand why most people defend these kids when they are deemed disrespected but don't defend the coaches that are disrespected by the kids.
Could it have something to do with the difference in compensation? Not to mention the indecision of a kid who is making a life altering decision vs a coach who in reality has several kids lined up behind each offer?
Regardless, JJ probably won't appreciate the extra 50 microphones he will get on Saturday because of this drama. Although who knows? Maybe he breaks off a big game and the extra attention is worth it.

I think he looks like a tool bag doing that publicly IMO.

Probably referencing the heart..... Meaning the kid doesn't have the heart and soul to lead a national championship team to victory.
This is why (IMO) CLM liked JJ so much. He seemed to have the heart (i.e. chest) but unfortunately not the brains/smarts or talent.
Liggins will be in the LSU line-up soon enough as a QB.... these are the kind of players Miles loves - those that compete for championships. This is also why LSU will be competing for national championships for years to come!

may give problems to this program.
In what way. Dissuading flakes and momma's boys from coming to LSU? Where's the problem.

I understand why Kiel left.....after the BCSNCG if I was him I would not have trusted Miles with my future either. I also see why Miles ripped him....he thought the kid was scared of competition. The two obviously don't trust each other and we ended up with Liggins who I am liking more and more each day....its not that big of a deal.

Ah yes, because it's better to hide your true intentions and feelings a'la the Kiels. Good call.

Yeah you are right. If we want to go the business route with it, I know I'm always excited when I hire someone and they don't show up on the first day. What does Les's compensation have to do with any of this? You can't defend what the Kiel's did as a whole. How can you justify Gunner or his parents not calling to at least say "Hey we aren't going to be there tomorrow." You can't.

Hell I don't know why it is a big deal. Kelly said something about one of our decommits (greenberry)that many thought was in bad taste.. Such a sensitive society we live in.

Yes he did I was there ... they were not worthy
He was throwing raw meat to the Tiger faithful to deflect loosing the top players he had commitments from after the wonderful coaching job he did in the NC.

why should he? For one, this statement doesnt undo his previous PC statements he made that he understands if the guy wanted to stay close to home etc. That doesnt mean you cant handle the situation with class. Spurning LSU at the very last second by forcing Miles to not give MIller the scholarhip, and THEN going back on his word was not a smart decision. He didnt just hurt the Institution of LSU, but another kid directly as well. As a man of character, Miles did, and should take that very seriously. Nothing wrong with giving a slap on the wrist. Its a learning process for these kids. Doesnt mean Miles is feeding Gunner to the wolves.
And most of all, what did you expect him to say at the Bash? you are in LSU territory. ALl of you know how fickle and emotional we are about football, let alone how we were when we found out he left in that fashion. Making a PC statement just because he had camera's would not have settled well with the crowd. He coaches LSU and is accountable for the LSU fans. Thats his first and foremost task, so a PC statement would have just hurt him even more than potential national media speculation.
