I am sure if we looked hard enough (and apparently some of you do), we could find something wrong with all of these prospects. With the possible exception of Landon Collins, hehehe.
The bottom line is that there are not too many high school kids walking around at 6'5" 230 lbs. that can catch footballs in traffic.

Is he fast enough to play that Gronk/Hernandez/Finley role? It seems like he's got the body type and skills, I just don't know how fast he is.

He is probably a 4.7 laser guy. He should be a top 5 national TE prospect for next year

is he better than the cat from karr?

I think he can fill that role. And to the guy that said he is afraid to get hit, he sure doesn't show it as a sophomore in high school

Kid has a nice first step. Thought he was false-starting on most of those plays.

Kid is a stud.. He will be a rivals 100 TE and hold offers from everybody if he doesnt commit too early. But he may commit to us very soon

Reminds me a lot of a less-polished Antonio Gates. Appears to be a good route runner and very athletic for his size

Great athlete. Would be a D-1 basketball prospect had he stuck with that sport. Also doing all of this against the likes of Evangel, St. Thomas More, Acadiana, etc. Tough matchup this week against Carencro, but he is a tough matchup for most high school defenses.

He definately gets off the line of scrimmage quickly and he can run underneath routes, get down the seam, or get deep out wide. He catches the ball with his hands and gets up and catches the ball at its highest point. He does not look scared of contact on those highlights. He looks very impressive as only a sophmore. I would like to see a few clips of him blocking but that was sophmore film and with a college weight program and some coaching he will learn to block even though he will probly be more of a DeAngelo Peterson type pass catching TE.

Miles bustin out his old trick from his OSU days.
What probably happened was he probably walked on that A&M grass on a visit and some jarhead wannabe freaked out on him. Recruits don't respond well to douchiness.

No question. We have to remind ourselves that this film is as a sophomore. What he has done at such a young age against very good 5A teams is phenomenal! We forget that most of these big time recruits in 4A/5A do their work as juniors/seniors. Smith has done it early and it looks like with the emergence of Barbe's sophomore QB that he will continue to be a force!

Lousiana kid, and LSU looks unbeatable. I don't like our chances. Hopefully we get him to the A&M/tu game but I doubt it does much good at this point.
Would love to have him.

I think yall will lose yet another Louisiana guy to LSU. Stick to east Texas

He's big enough, strong enough, fast enough, and athletic enough. One of the nicest kids you'll meet too. I know him and his family very well. He'll be damn good tiger.

It will be a great pickup for LSU. DeSean can play anywhere he wants. That talented.
And as a bonus (not that LSU would need it) it helps eventually land his teammate Trey Quinn. Just a Sophomore but will be a big time recruit next year

I heard that Quinn will be a 2 sport guy baseball & football, and he will not make a college campus. (MLB) He killed STM and their defense has been pretty good this year.

According to several sources Quinn has no offers in any sport at this time.

Seen quinn play three times this year. was freshman all american last year and continues to produce against the best in the state. He has as good of hands and is bigger and faster than reggie wayne was as a sophmore at ehret.
