re: Deon Sanders just flipped the top Juco DB from UGA to Jackson State.

I would not want Deion Sanders teaching me how to play cornerback. Yes, he’s the best cornerback to probably ever play, but that’s because he was the most physically gifted corner to ever step on a football field. He might have 5 tackles his entire career.

Deion was not a student of the game, that's laughable. He was a freak athlete that ran in the low 4.3s likely and used that to be an elite CB. He also hated tackling, couldn't get off blocks well, and had a me-first attitude.
There are plenty of terrible corners who run 4.3/4.4

6 tackles and DBs aren’t only paid to tackle.

Deion was one of the first db’s who had film on each receiver. What makes you think he wasn’t a smart football player.

A. He's not close to the best DB to ever play the game.
B. He's a fricking moron. And he isn't some technician master at DB he can teach to others, he was great because of insane god given ability.
These have got to be 2 of the most ridiculous statements I have ever seen posted on this site. ??

He had football speed and was an all-around world class athlete too. That's just one piece of it that I mentioned. Guy had INSANE hand-eye coordination for a DB, incredible hips, fluidity, etc.
One of the best athletes to ever live.
He wasn't great because he was a technician and student of the game. He was great because he was a generational freak.

You think Deion is the greatest defensive back (including safety) to ever play football?

Pretty dumb, but Prime is making some waves.
It’s really the perfect storm right now. There is a big HBCU push for black people now and he’s obviously a huge name.
ETA : shite, wrong board. Didn’t even know Incould post here lol

Muh HBCU. I’m guessing he went the JUCO route in the beginning because he is a dummy. This proves without a doubt he is a dummy.
HBCUs aren't schools for dummies, dummy! As far as athletes Steve McNair went to an HBCU and so did Jerry Rice and Walter Payton. Aeneas Williams also went to an HBCU.

He might miss out on being drafted by going to JSU.
Such an idiotic statement.
One of the best current linebackers in the NFL, Darius Leonard (South Carolina State) was drafted in the second round in 2018 and became Defensive rookie of the year and All Pro back to back seasons.

Maybe 20+ years ago, but everything is televised now, Deion will get him publicity, and I'm sure NFL scouts look at high school recruiting shite as part of player evaluations and when they're searching for value at smaller programs.
Still not the best move for his future, but if he's good enough, he'll get seen.

Deion is at Jackson St for next four years at least. His youngest son just signed and his other son transferred from South Carolina
