He and Rasco are nowhere near the same prospect coming out of HighSchool.

Yes they are. They both had the same frame in high school. One played with better coaching and resulted in better technique the other has a great pass rush because of a better burst off the line. Rasco is the best comparison for any DE on our roster, stop looking for arguments and start actually contributing on this site.

I actually think Neal has pretty good technique. You can see from his video versus Bentley Spain on the SNS website that he uses his hands very well. He is fast and once he gets in a college weight and conditioning program, he's going to become very disruptive. I like this pickup and trust the coaches. They took his commitment without pause, so they must love him with all the guys left on the DL board.

Great inside move, which you don't see at the high school nearly as much and very sure tackler. If Chavis wants him I'm all on board and we've wanted this guy for a while. Also good things said about him at every camp and the fact some other highly thought after staffs wanted this kid is a good sign.

That inside move is pretty darn good. Tyson Jackson was drafted early in the 1st round and NEVER developed that move in years at LSU. As you said, Chavis was the lead on him. His offer list is good but not great...yes Ohio State, yes LSU, but not a national recruit. I still think the best thing about his offer list was that the 5 best programs in the Carolinas all offered him (Clemson, S Carolina, UNC, NC State, and E Carolina). I assume Duke didn't offer him because his 3 point shot wasn't good enough.

Looks like we have a good chance to get Tyquan Lewis as well. Gilmore, Neal, and Lewis would be a good haul. Our coaches are raiding North Carolina

You pretty much just named him a NATIONAL recruit, by showing every major school within a state of him offered as well as 2 of the top 5 programs of the last 20yrs as well. Yeah, thats definitely national. Regardless, this kid is a beast it doesn't hurt with Gilmore. Someone on this thread compared him to Rasco, which is not a bad comparison imo, he's a bit of a Rasco/Logan blend to me, in that he works harder and smarter than those around him. I can see him being ready to play sooner rather than later due to football IQ

I wasn't even replying to you, but I'm the one looking for arguments.

You take this fricking message board to serious and your hissy fit over the countdown thread was a prime example.

You live on this site to point out errors. And your only come back is that I take this board to serious, yet you are on it religiously.

So, voicing an opinion is pointing out errors?

I was concerned about his offer list a little bit but we know that is a darn good year for DL, not just in LA but around the country. But when I saw the NC/SC schools offer him that helped a lot. But IF he is as good as some of us think he might be, he definitely is under the radar a bit. No Pac-12 schools, only LSU, UT, and S Carolina for the SEC offered, and only a very few of the big name football schools did. Also, throw in the recruiting services where only 1 of the 4 I follow gave him 4* (ESPN) but then again, I discount those most of the time anyway.

But yeah, somebody compared him to Rasco earlier and I agreed that was a good match. I would offer the guy in a second....absolutely! Look at his technique...look at his sense /instinct /intelligence of where the play is going. That isn't dumb luck. He either reads keys very well or he has very good peripheral vision...a trait usually reserved for RBs. And I come back to those arms!! Although he is just about normal for squats (legs) for a guy his size he is way, way above average for the bench press (arms).
