What's the deal with Jordan Matthews and LSU? Does LSU just have some corners above him, or are they just not very high on Matthews?

LSU is taking their time with him and focusing more out of state currently. LSU will have their camp in June that he's expected to attend for a chance to bump his stock.

I think it’s more of the fact that they are swinging for the fences nationally to gauge interest while keeping in close contact locally. They have a commitment from Yaites, but Matthews is a legacy and a BR kid so that has to mean something. I know Steeples has a strong relationship with Christian Gray, they are working Toviano and Daylen Austin nationally. Curley Reed and Matthews are definitely the top corners in state so it should be interesting to see how it unfolds.

I think they are also aware of the football oversight committee potentially removing the 25 limit on signing classes and look to bring in a big DB haul especially with depth concerns at corner.
