1) Been committed for a while so knew he had to get his grades up
2) Position is already stocked, then have 3 others committed at his position with similar height and build
3) Not enough room to play the risk game when other positions need to be stocked up as well
In the end this is good for LSU.
- We had one WR too many, but all of them were too good to just turn down
- We needed another spot for depth in the trenches
I doubt we'd snag him as a JUCO recruit in a year or two unless it is just meant to be for him to come to LSU. He's going to be a big time prospect out of JUCO though.
ETA: Just saw the UTSA tweet, that would be a great alternative.

I freaking hate when kids say they're "trusting God"...be a man, say what you really want to and stop putting the blame on God every time yall decommit...

No it's not hindsight. Every site said the same thing. We made Ben Davis' final 5. How much of a chance do you think we have? I understand we love LSU but some of us are blind. I pissed a bunch of people off last year when I said we're not getting Leo Lewis or CeCe Jefferson. But there can be surprises. Everything shows Christmas-Giles to Texas. It sucks. Some people see predictions to other schools as being anti-LSU or negative.

We already have 3 big time WRs in this class in Sullivan, Davis, and Anderson. Don't know why people are so heartbroken over his decommittment. Good luck to the kid wherever he goes.

I guess we'll hear this refrain from a lot of you posters from now on. While I concede that Frank Wilson was a great recruiter, he was not canned by LSU. He left for a head coaching job. LSU did not destroy any goodwill he may have created with the recruits.
If everyone that he recruited suddenly decide to follow him to his new school, well, that would be a story.
