Could we have helped them along in this decision by telling them they'd be processed?

Think maybe we're making it easy on these guys because even without a Coach, Aubie waving around some big bags makes it an easy landing?
Could be that money is like a shiny object that distracts from not getting to attend LSU and getting developed for the NFL.
Could also be those 2 just saying "frick it, it's closer to home, gimme the cash".

Could the first scenario mean Big Bo is on the way and we have a DT or 2 in the bag and on the way ourselves?

One way or another it's about to be freaking wild around here.
Ya'll remember how much fun these boards were this time last year?

Chester is pretty good. Both are top 250 guys. Chester deleted all his Auburn stuff a few minutes ago though.

Deleted Auburn stuff or LSU stuff?
I thought somebody said he already deleted the LSU stuff.

I'd rather have him here, if I had my druthers.

Does happen sometimes. Not as often as we think.

But in both these cases... no way.

Not without somebody to replace them and none of these kids are signed anyway.

No. We only have/had 3 DT commitments in this class and DT is the hardest group to find talent for. Doesn’t make sense to process him.

Chester just committed

Why would we let him commit and then help him move along?

Chester always had auburn high on his list

Yeah, see, I wouldn't think so either. But then it just comes down to them taking the bag from a school with no Coach.
Guess I don't want to believe that kid's we'd have had here would do that.
But like I said, I hope there are replacement we have more locked in than they were.
I really like Chester but Hughley has seen the battles in 6A.

yeah, it is that way for many recruits. It isn't new but it may be more rampant now. But that is definitely not anything new.

Chester isn't gone yet. It is being "negotiated" I'm sure. And we'll have to fight to keep him all the way to signing day. UGA will continue to take runs at him as will TAMU.

If I had to guess that's our biggest negotiating problem right now- have to fend off the AU boosters/AD here today and spend our wad just to have to do it again later. If we do the requirement that he sign in the early signing period should be one of the hidden terms so that we're not having to pay him a second time in Jan when UGA tries again.

Yep.
I hope we have Doc and the Earp brothers saddled up.

Sometimes wonder how much that can harm a kid, Georgia produces some great talent on both lines. Sometimes egos of adults can ruin it for these kids. Not privy to how recruiting generally works on behalf of the talent itself, but if I’m a player, I’d still look into a school like Georgia, LSU, Alabama, etc, even if there’s a bridge burned on behalf of the university and the high school.

It has been quiet on Big Bo, any new insight on that?

LSU got processed with Reed by location and a deal. Best of luck to him. Still holding out hope for Chester but Barn is making moves. They’re embarrassed by the lack of success from Harsin.
