John Ruiz, Miami Personal injury Lawyer, who made a few billion from a SPAC.

He's basically Gordon McKernan but with some good investments went from a multi-millionaire to a billionaire.

Hell, Shemar Stewart, a 5-star DL from the 2022 class, is FROM Miami and still ended up at Texas A&M. What does that tell you?

it tells me that he's been recruited longer by TAMU and had a shiload of money thrown at him to convince him to join TAMU just like all the guys that left Louisiana last year. Cristobal just got there. This is the same idiotic stuff people blamed Kelly about like he was supposed to convince these guys to stay after being on the job for a couple weeks.

Doesn’t matter if Ruiz is the ONLY thing in their resurgence. With the kinda money that dude can throw around (even if he made it in sheisty means), they can buy whatever players they want.

Real talk tho, if/when that new stadium is back in Coral Gables, fans will come back. Hard Rock is a travesty and the athletics-hating administration at UM should be proud of themselves ruining that program for now.

Not really. Ruiz is everything to their resurgence
Isn't he being investigated for something or did that blow over?

That tells me that A&M paid more. Some of yo still can’t get it that money talks… no matter where your from. Corey Raymond did well here and now because he’s not here anymore he’s all of a sudden terrible. Get the LSU homer out of y’all arse and just speak truth. Raymond is not gone because he was bad he’s gone because in order to get a coach on the staff now we had to let him go.

Just be truthful

I totally disagree. Raymond was a poor on field coach and overrated recruiter. LSU pretty much recruits itself at DB. Our secondary was as bad as I've ever seen it his last few years here. It was also total BS on his part to threaten to leave every off-season unless given a raise.

SPACs are meaningfully disfavored now. That money could dry up quickly

This is another school asking for trouble. Not that i want him to go to UF but just look at the kids that went to aTm that hearts weren’t in it

So let me get this straight. He was overrated!!! How the hell did we become dbu in the first place and our db room was in shambles like every other room in coach o last year. Don’t put yourself in his shoes when your talking about money. He was well worth it. People talking about other peoples money is so stupi when they would most of the time do the same shite.

Difference between Miami and A&M is that Miami can actually return to a contender status

Doubtful but they do play in the ACC lol. It didn't work for A&M the same reason it won't work Miami, or any other team that attempts it. When that much money starts being thrown around the kids start to think they are hot shite, and don't expect to compete for the job. They expect it to be given because a large sum of money was just handed over to them without working gor it.
