What a colossal whiff by Florida. Corey Raymond is washed in a bad way.

Watch his mom during the announcement.

Tells you everything you need to know about that decision.

One booster is pretty much… you know.

Difference between Miami and A&M is that Miami can actually return to a contender status.

They’re gonna be a problem down the line.

Not surprised Corey whiffed, he did it plenty enough the last 3-4 years.

For everyone that was mad when BK didn’t retain him…looks like a good decision now

Not really. Ruiz is everything to their resurgence (obviously there isnt a resurgence on the field yet). There's no alumni support outside of him, no local support, no non-alumni support, and no student body that supports football. Ruiz is just now funding new facilities that will be slowly built years down the road, and of course there's the new stadium that he's also funding. They can't even get 10k people to show up to their games.

Miami is not a football school outside of a decade and a half.

Yet.

Cristoball is a good coach. They’re bringing in a lot of talent at a lot of positions on both O and D.

They can absolutely become a contender again.

Now you know why BK was not interested in him. Moves BK made this year:

-tRant calling for Daniels to be benched

-Corey Raymond wtf fallout

-Mason Taylor playing significantly throughout the year

Maybe coach just knows more than us.

Cristobal is not a good coach. There’s a boatload of evidence now to support that.

But if he keeps players from Florida and Alabama, I hope he stays there forever

Cristobal is NOT a good coach, or he's done absolutely nothing to prove he is, and he's still going to have to compete with Bama, Georga, Florida, and FSU for recruits in the area.

Hell, Shemar Stewart, a 5-star DL from the 2022 class, is FROM Miami and still ended up at Texas A&M. What does that tell you?

Yea as much as I’d like to rip on Corey Raymond (there’s plenty of other valid reasons to do that), I don’t think this is on him. Kids openly flaunting money…welcome to college athletics in 2022

Neither napier nor cristobal appear to be good coaches (and obviously none of us think highly of raymond) but the kid had plenty of ties to UF. This is a case of a NIL payday and nothing more.

Ruiz is a weapon. He’s gonna flip a lot of recruits with that check book and we might get burned by it too at some point.
