He will be visiting LSU on Jan. 27...what are our chances on getting him? He will be a great addition to our WR corp and should see a lot of playing time if things work well for him. Apparently he likes Ole Miss? Wouldn't you rather be at LSU than Ole Piss?

If he chooses Ole Miss over LSU , then he will have to live with that decision . Its a no brainer to me , but then again , I have been wrong before

CJ Johnson chose Ole Miss over LSU.......i wonder how he feels about that now.
He would more likely be a starter if he would've came here.

quote:I doubt it. He's already had to change positions to DE to see playing time at Ole Miss and their LB blow. He would be struggling to get in the four-deep at DE at LSU but actually already started a few games there at Ole Miss.

Also Freeze throws the ball about 40 times a game, which I'm sure appeals to a JUCO WR maybe looking to go one-and-done.

They had to play him right away though. We could have redshirted him so he could learn hot to play LBer from Chavis and would at least be on the 2 deep on the LBer depth chart.

A little research on Patterson and how he did at Hutchinson this year...
After re-writing the Hutchinson Community College football record books, sophomore receiver Cordarrelle Patterson joined some rare company on Monday when he was named an NJCAA First-Team All-American.
Patterson, a 6-foot-4, 211-pound sophomore from Rock Hill, S.C., who is considered the top junior college prospect this season, became only the third Blue Dragon ever to be a two-time NJCAA All-American.
He joins Gordon Brown (1992-93) and Excel Lucas (1994-95) as the only two-time NJCAA All-Americans at Hutchinson. Patterson is the first offensive player to be a two-time All-American. As a freshman, Patterson was a second-team All-American.
Freshman defensive back Khambrel Garland was also named to the 2012 All-America team as an honorable mention selection.
Patterson and Garland become the eighth and ninth NJCAA All-Americans in the Rion Rhaodes era. Patterson is the fourth first-team All-American under Rhoades, who started at HCC in 2007.
Cordarrelle Patterson (First Team Offense)
Patterson, the 2011 Jayhawk Conference Offensive Player of the Year, now owns 15 career or single-season or single-game Blue Dragon Dragons records.
This season, Patterson caught a career-high 61 passes for 924 yards and he accounted for 1,814 all-purpose yards in helping the Salt City Bowl champion Blue Dragons to a 9-3 record.
The 61 receptions are a school record and the 924 yards rank fourth-best in a single season. He also set a record for single-season all-purpose yardage and had three 200-plus-yard all-purpose yardage games this season and five for his career.
As a kick returner, Patterson averaged an NJCAA-best and HCC single-season record 51.1 yards per return average on 12 returns with three touchdowns. Patterson owns three of the top four all-time kickoff returns with TDs of 98, 97 and 96 yards in his career. He had two kickoff returns for touchdowns against Kilgore in the 2011 season opener.
Patterson was also been a threat running the ball with 379 yards on just 32 carries (11.8 yards per rush).
Patterson accounted for 1,686 yards of all-purpose offense and averaged 17.6 yards every time he touched the football. He broke 200 all-purpose yards three times this season.
The versatile receiver scored 15 receiving touchdowns, six rushing touchdowns and three touchdowns on kickoff returns. His 15 receiving touchdowns and 24 overall touchdowns are single-season records as well as his 144 points scored in 12 games. Patterson scored touchdowns in 20 of 23 games played in his HCC career.
Patterson’s career records include: Total receptions (113), Total receiving yards (1,832), career receiving touchdowns (24), career overall touchdowns (36), career points (216), career kickoff return average (41.9) and all-purpose yards (3,379).

Starting faster wasn't the point.
He might of redshirted here with a serious possibility to start in 2012. ]
Instead he played for one of the worst teams in D1 football that we took a knee against with 5 minutes remaining.
Good decision.

Search. Function.
My bad..nothing came up when I searched earlier...must have missed it. Regardless, this kid should be talked about. Could be a huge player for us if he chooses LSU.
