Yeah, I've seen that floating around here.
Moscona mentioned the situation on his show. He said he called someone that had intimate knowledge of situations like this. He probably called the registrars office. Whomever he talked to said they could be registered for the Spring semester, but it would be a bit more difficult and complex at this point.
Hopefully, both of those options are on the table, and everything works out.
