Just assume I'm 'recruit stupid' and fill me in on Patterson. What is his full name so I can look him up if you don't feel like edumakating me

He looks like a Chad Jones clone.

From the list of the schools he is considering, I don't see where he favors any school over others. Does his 1/20/12 visit to LSU mean anything special that I'm not reading into it?

Someone said it's down to LSU and Georgia but the lean is Georgia.

Who knows...

Basically he could fill our need for a big physical WR to go opposite OBJ and Shep, he'd come in and contribute immediately

The one constant, no matter the source, has been Georgia. The question has been whether or not he would academically qualify.

Since he's already been an academic casualty once before, it's not out of the realm of possibility that it could affect his decision here.

I don't know the specific requirement differences amongst SEC schools, but evidently his standing is in question for Georgia, but not other schools.

Pretty sure Ole Piss has lower standards than all the schools listed. LSU has to be at the bottom too. So I could see why he'd pick Ole Piss if academics were a question. That could play in LSU's favor too.

Would be a big pick up to all but finish out the class for sure! I'd like to see Mett throwing to him next year.

Thought LSU and Ole Miss have the exact same standards for athletes?

I don't know Ole Piss standards but I know LSU's is probably one of the lowest in the SEC...

So that wouldn't surprise me.

But you referred to their 10-win season in 2006 and 2010??

Actually, OM has a lower entry requirement than LSU. TOPS has provided enough of an application base to raise the standards of admission.

This will be a close one. If he chooses OM, I would certainly be scratching my head. But both LSU and UGA certainly can make good sells. OK, my prediction, if he committs early, it's UGA, if it's after noon and he's thinking about it, then it's LSU.

The staff should be focused on a top notch WR unless they are planning on getting a few next year.
