Guess he went junior day at another SEC school and named them favorite.

LSU had the elite camp in January, but no Boys from the Boot. Read that camp next week is for oos prospects.

Anybody know why there wasn’t a Boys from the Boot event in Feb, since Louisiana is loaded for 2019?

Is it commit-able at this point? Or is Bama trying to put pressure on LSU..

Boys from the Boot was Frank Wilson's thing. Orgeron seems to have dropped it, perhaps

I think they offered several weeks ago, I think the only update is he went to their junior day and named them his leader following his visit.

He's a beast, he will be a top 100 guy.

The news out from local writers is that instead of the "Boys from the Boot" weekend they have been holding they decided to do an invitation only weekend "which they held" and invite the top players from Louisiana to attend which they did.

Hell get an offer from us eventually and then we will see what happens. Our LB board, and Bamas, is loaded so spots will be tough to come by especially this early. Let them fill up, assuming he could commit, maybe it helps us with one of Marcel Brooks or Nakobe Dean. They can't take them all. We should get Starks, son add one if those 2 and we've got a great start. Can narrow the focus then. Long way to go and gonna be a long year.

I think you answered your own question. Bama is in competition with us for guys like Marcel Brooks and Nakobe Dean, as well as other guys they are after, so I'd imagine this is just them trying to get LSU to reel him in and use that against us.

Harris is good and I want him in this class, but I can't see this more as a "Come camp with us" offer at this point

I disagree.

Also heard he's still growing and could end up in the 6-4 range.

Yeah this kids an absolute freak and is very underrated right now.

There’s no excuse why we haven’t even offered him yet. I mean he’s on LSUs campus already and everything.

Once again this staff is slow playing in state talent and will get bit in the Azz come signing day. We don’t seem to learn from previous years. Coach thinking his way is the way and not tweeking it is a problem!

And that's what gets me with Orgeron and this current LSU staff, even though the kid has an offer now from them, he should have been had one, Orgeron is supposed to be really good at this game. I mean I'm reading on SEC Country that he's got Alabama as the leader who once again is a leader for a LA recruit pisses me off because he's right there in your backyard, no way that should happen. But at least he's pretty excited now about receiving his LSU offer finally.
