Time will tell but I can't see this class being better than '09. Mingo(6th) & Montgomery(95) at DE Brockers(13th), Logan(67th) & Akiem Hicks(89th) at DT. Montgomery said something about not playing his hardest unless it was bama, dropped him. Hicks never played at LSU(probably would've gone in 2nd if he played at LSU instead of U of Regina in Canada) I was looking just at the class, that '11 d line couldve been that much nastier with another ProBowler. As far as best on D line I'm going with the '03 D line. Spears and Williams were both perennial Pro bowlers, Hill was well on his way before the accident. Lavalais was a decent pro, but was completely unblockable at LSU. The look on Jason Whites(Heisman winner) face as he realized he'd made a huge mistake and football wasn't for him anymore was EPIC

The 2004 class will be hard to beat:

Claude Wroten - multi-year starter; drafted in 3rd Round
Glenn Dorsey - multi-year starter; drafted in 1st Round #5 overall
Tyson Jackson - multi-year starter; drafted in 1st Round #3 overall
Charles Alexander - multi- year starter
Marlon Favorite - starter
Tremaine Johnson - back-up

A coach paid for his apartment (I think) and it was discovered. Coach fired and Hicks went to some college in CAnada.

Gaye, Smith, Roy, BJ are all potential first round draft picks depending on how well they perform this year. That said, we’ve had some monster defensive lines in ‘11 and in the early to mid ‘00s. We really don’t know how well this D-line will look if the rest of the defense doesn’t do their jobs adequately.

After the season, will be the perfect time for a thread like this lol
