This guy doesn't know what he's talking about. We return Ronnie Harrison and Minkah Fitzpatrick as our 2 starting safeties in base. In nickel and dime hootie jones takes Harrison's safety spot and he slides to box safety. Also deionte Thompson is the 4th safety and he's pretty solid for the 4th safety.

True Dat. It is common. Actually I applaud the current staff for keeping most of the current class in place, having us still in the running for Marvin Wilson and Cam Akers and getting Rice who was an absolute need at ILB. At a top five class, things could be much, much worse.

Recruiting can be such a weird beast sometimes. In a year where LSU desperatley needs LB, 2 of the best in country are in/from BR, and go to Bama where they have tons of depth and have 4 of the top 15 LB in the country committed.

At the same time, Bama has some holes at safety, and could probably give some substantial playing time to a freshman. Yet LSU has already gotten 2 of the top 10 in the country, and could add a 3rd with Harris.
