5 first downs sounds close. My opinion only -

1. Central played great D!
2. WM put the ball on the ground 4-5 times, but only lost 2?
3. Linebacker was moved to QB several games ago.
No excuses - it is what it is.
4. WM DBS refuse to look for the ball in the air!
5. WM will be back.

Gotcha. Missed part of the game when we were removed from the sidelines (didn't have enough passes) and were moved to the stands along with our 4 kids

Also enjoyed listening about CRobs recruitment, or lack thereof, from a so-called handler.

I saw a couple of pancakes. Their line didn't make the tackles. Their LBers had great closing speed and WM kept trying to go outside.

How did that safety from Central look? Kevin Henry, I believe is his name.

Havent seen anyone mention it that has seen CR play, but his run blocking skills are leaps and bounds BEHIND his pass set/pass blocking skills. I cant count how many plays Robinson and his opponent were at a stand still running to his side. Understandably he's worth all the hype because a kid with his size and footwork is unheard of especially since football is more and more pass oriented, but people that think he's going to Bama or even LSU to start or play as a freshman are insane. He's got a long ways to grow before he's ready to try and reach block the beasts 4 techs he'll be facing.

Very few offensive linemen are game-ready the moment they step on campus their freshman year. A combination of several factors, including added "good" weight (and dropped fat), learning proper technique (because VERY few high schooler OL are taught sufficient technique), and getting used to the speed of the game (which is always tougher for the bigger guys) really don't allow for as seamless of a transition into the next level for these guys as certain skill positions.

What a killer win for "un-ranked" Central. I laugh at you La. Sports Writers who gave this team not a mention all season long.........

Central's D has given up 14 points in the playoffs so far. They played a good comeaux team and a down WM, fwiw. Congrats to those boys.

Central held West Monroe to under 100 total yards of offense and shut them out for the first time since 1972, make no mistake about it this defense is the real deal!
